VMUGIT Hands On Day, great start with @ExaGrid

Luca Dell'Oca, January 26, 2012September 20, 2015

Last 18th January we had our first Italian VMUG Hands On Day.

We hosted ExaGrid, US company who realize and sells disk backup appliances. The event went really well, we had 16 attendees, all of them extremely satisfied. I think is a good number, thinking about the extreme specificity; I’ve been to some vendor sales events with less people!
We had a confirmation that the formula of this event (one day with only one vendor) can be successful: two guys came to the event driving their car for 5 hours!

16 attendees followed the presentation with interest, did many questions, they interact with each other. the event so has been a way also to “do networking”, and this is good for the idea of the VMUG itself.

Andrea Mauro wrote a couple of articles about ExaGrid technologies, you can read them here and here.

we also shot some pics, you can see them in this Flickr set:

What else? For sure the success of the first event gave us the joy to do the next ones, so be ready for the upcoming Hands On!
