Ovvero, eseguire ESX o ESXi 3.5 su hardware di fortuna!

Spesso necessitiamo di sistemi di test o dimostrativi di vmware, e risulta molto comodo poter avere a disposizioni ambienti completi con spese irrisorie.

In questa pagina potete trovare una lista completissima di motherboard e sistemi con controller SATA sui quali è stata testata con successo l’installazione di ESX 3.5

Nella lista infinita mi ha colpito in particolare la presenza di un Dell Latitude D630: è possibile in questo modo avere un sistema completo in un notebook e realizzare in questo modo un sistema test/demo completamente portabile!

Una configurazione del notebook sul sito Dell con 4 Gb di RAM e un hard disk da 160 gb costa 1268 euro iva esclusa, davvero niente male.
